An 80-year-old woman receives an SMS about a bill and an encouragement to call a specified phone number. During the phone call, the scammer manages to get the woman to hand over her bank ID. The victim is also encouraged to withdraw cash and collect jewelry.

The suspected perpetrator goes to the victim's home but is apprehended on the spot by the police.

The police initiate an investigation into attempted serious fraud.
