June 15 08.30, Summary of the night, Norrbotten County

Here follow a selection of events from last night:

01.34 Harassment, Luleå:
Police patrol is ordered to a pub in the city center where it is reported to have been some form of dispute between two people. A complaint and a counter-complaint regarding harassment are drawn up.

02.05 Assault, Boden:
Police patrol is ordered to a restaurant where two men are reported to have assaulted each other. The patrol takes up a complaint and a counter-complaint.

02.42 Wildlife accident, Haparanda:
Police receive a complaint about an accident involving a car and a deer on Highway 99, north of Haparanda. No personal injuries are reported. It is unclear how the deer fared and a tracker is called out.

03.39 Assault, Boden:
Police patrol is ordered to central Boden due to some kind of brawl/assault. A man is apprehended in accordance with the Law on the Temporary Confiscation of Intoxicated Persons. A complaint regarding assault is drawn up.

05.10 Threats, Boden:
Police are alerted to an address west of Boden where a man is reported to have threatened another man with a weapon-like object. The man is apprehended and will be questioned. A weapon, believed to be an air gun, is found and seized. The incident is currently being investigated as gross threats and gross firearms offenses. 

No person has been injured in connection with the incident. The police are working with initial investigative measures.

Other:
Police have handled a case during the night where a woman in a dwelling in Boden's municipality is suspected of assaulting a man she has a relationship with. Interrogations have been held and a complaint has been drawn up. There are no reports that the man needed to be taken to hospital.

Police have also handled a case in Kiruna municipality where a man is reported to have assaulted a woman he previously had a relationship with. The man is being taken in for questioning.

About 10 people, in addition to the above and below, have been apprehended for intoxication. Two of these are suspected of violent resistance.

Police have also carried out a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.

Summary of the police's work during Midnight Sun Meet in Gällivare:

Police have had the help of drones to keep an eye on traffic as well as a cortege that started at 18.00. The cortege proceeded calmly. Some passengers who hung out of the car windows during the journey were given warnings.

During the evening, the event at Nunisparken had around 800 paying attendees. Six people were apprehended for intoxication in accordance with the Law on the Temporary Confiscation of Intoxicated Persons.

The weather was fine and the organizers and audience that the police spoke to were very satisfied with the evening.
