A patrol is ordered to a residence in the western parts of Västerås due to an ongoing assault.

When the patrol arrives at the residence, a woman who has been injured is found and is taken to the hospital by ambulance for further care, the extent of the injury is unclear.

A person, a man in his 50s, is apprehended at the scene and taken to the station for questioning.

The residence is cordoned off pending a technical investigation.
