Lightning is supposed to have struck a deserted house.

A neighbour rings 112 to report that lightning has struck a residential house next door.

The lightning strike has now caused a fire in the property, which is described as a derelict house.

Police and emergency services are alerted to the scene.

It is a fully developed fire with open flames.
