According to several callers, an elk is running on the road and is therefore on the wrong side of the wildlife fence.

Traffic Administration has issued a warning.

Update 20.52: It continues to come in calls that the elk is seen at Karolinen, out towards E18. There have also been reports of a salmon smolt swimming in the Klarälven, near Strand. Drivers are urged to continue to take it easy and exercise great caution when passing the area.

Update 20.55: The elk is now heading towards the police station at Sandbäcken. It is perceived as very stressed, so the public is urged to continue to avoid the area as much as possible.
