On E4 at the level of Månkarbo, a vehicle is stopped and checked. The driver, a man in his 45s, appears to lack a driver's license and is therefore suspected of gross unauthorized driving.

The police patrol also suspects that the driver is under the influence of some form of narcotics, and a rapid test on the spot shows a positive result.

A report of driving under the influence of narcotics and narcotics offense, personal use, is drawn up and the man is detained and taken to hospital to give a blood sample.
