A prioritized work that we know many are requesting is traffic controls both within and outside urban areas. The police are working intensively to make the roads safer.

Last night we worked with traffic controls on smaller roads around Jönköpings municipality.

On County Road 133, near Örserum, a man in his 20s has been fined for driving 145 km/h on a road where the speed limit is 80 km/h. The fine amount is 4,000 kronor. 
His driver's license has also been confiscated.

The police's road safety work aims to ensure that no one dies or is seriously injured in traffic. Speed is crucial for the consequences of a traffic accident. Keep to the speed limit - together we save lives.
