Recently, at least three people in Norrbotten have received unwanted visits while at home. One person is said to have entered the home and, in some cases, taken valuable items. This concerns a matter in Luleå municipality some time ago and two in Kiruna municipality in recent days.

Now, people are urged to be more vigilant even when at home in, and outside, their residence. Reduce the risk of being targeted by locking doors even if you are in or near the residence and alert the police immediately upon suspicion of ongoing crime.

If you are a victim of theft/break-in, it is important that you do not enter the residence or touch anything. Always call the police first, and we will make an assessment of whether a technical examination should be carried out to secure any potential evidence.
