Sunday evening and the night into Monday several reports were made in Kalix and Haparanda and surroundings. It was about, for example, thefts of means of transportation, acts of vandalism and thefts.

The police have worked intensively to investigate these matters and yesterday a suspected person was searched with several resources, including dog and helicopter. After internal and external surveillance a suspected man, who is in his 25-year-old age, was arrested last night.

The man is being held in custody after a decision by the prosecutor and it is the prosecutor who is leading the cases.

The police will continue to work with the investigation and there will also be interrogations held.
