Under Tuesday evening, the police were contacted regarding a woman who is said to have been very cold during her stay on Kebnekaise. The woman is said to have been fainting. She was in the company of several other people.

The police's on-duty officer made a decision to initiate mountain rescue according to the LSO, the Act on Protection against Accidents, in order to help the woman down from the mountain. Mountain rescuers were called out. Initially, due to poor flying weather, a helicopter could not fly to the location.

At 05:00 in the morning, however, a private helicopter announced that they had loaded the woman and were on their way down to meet an ambulance.
