A preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated after a death in a residence in the Sofielund area of Malmö. The deceased is a man in his 50s. There is nothing that clearly suggests the man was exposed to a crime but the preliminary investigation has been initiated in order to completely rule out the possibility.

A technical examination and a forensic medical examination will be carried out.

Next of kin have been informed.
