04:15, assault – Varberg
Police are called to an address in central Varberg, where a young man claims to have been assaulted by a taxi driver. According to his account, a dispute arose during the journey, whereupon the driver stopped and pulled the man out of the car, and then kicked him in the head. The police locate the suspected taxi. After questioning, the driver, a man in his 20s, is initially arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. The complainant is taken to hospital by ambulance, awake and able to speak, but with unclear injuries.
