Alarm was received about a traffic accident on national road 68 in Hofors. The police were dispatched to the scene where a passenger car had hit an elk. The two people traveling in the car were taken to the hospital with unclear injury status.

Wildlife caretakers were contacted regarding the elk.

There is no suspicion of a crime in connection with the incident.
