Shortly after 1 am on the night of Wednesday, July 29, a report is received regarding a car fire on county road 364/833 outside Burträsk.

Police and rescue services are called, but there is nothing to suggest a fire.

Police continue to work to clarify what happened. Information gathering is carried out through questioning of some people who come from another European country than Sweden.

The questioning of these people leads the police to continue working with the case. Suspicion has arisen that these people have been subjected to human exploitation/human trafficking.

The case is led by a prosecutor.

At present, the police do not provide further information as it may negatively affect the progress of the investigation.
