The police's on-duty commanding officer decides on mountain rescue according to the LSO, the Act on Protection against Accidents, to assist a hiker who has been injured and needs help from the mountains.
The person is picked up on Sylarna by the police's helicopter and taken to Östersund for further transport by ambulance to medical care.
