The police have been on the scene at a residence after a woman in her mid-twenties contacted us.

A man, also in his mid-twenties, whom she previously had a relationship with, has assaulted her. He is also suspected of harassment and minor narcotics offenses through personal use.

The man is under arrest, apprehended, and the police will hold an interrogation with him. Subsequently, a prosecutor will make a decision on whether he should remain under arrest or not.

There is no information that the woman needed emergency medical care.
