The police have apprehended two men who are suspected of having assaulted another man in his apartment in Kopparberg's municipality.
The police were alerted to the location where it was reported that two men had assaulted a third in an apartment. When the police arrived, it became apparent that the assaulted man had escaped from his apartment from the two perpetrators. These had forced their way into the apartment and there assaulted the victim.
The investigative measures led to two men in their 30s being found in the vicinity and arrested as suspects for aggravated home invasion and assault.
The victim is a man in his 35s. He had visible injuries to his face but was not in need of acute medical care.
After the interrogation, the prosecutor will take a stance on whether the arrested should be detained or released during the continued investigation.
The relevant apartment has been sealed off to enable a technical examination to be carried out.
