Police alarm is sounded to Henriette Coyets street due to a number of young people being in the area and one of the individuals being seen drop a firearm-like object on the ground.
At least one person tries to run from the scene when the police patrol arrives.
The patrol manages to stop a 17-year-old boy and a carbon dioxide pistol is found at the scene.
As a result of the intervention, the boy suffers an injury to his hand, as he is holding a glass bottle. The boy also shows signs of being under the influence of narcotics and is taken to the hospital by ambulance for examination and further testing,
A report is filed for minor narcotics offense, personal use, and minor firearm offense.
The boy has been handed over to his guardians at the hospital. The police are finished at the scene.
