12:38 AM, Umeå

A driver is stopped after speeding on E4, just south of central Umeå. The driver, a man, has driven 143 km/h on a 110 km/h road. He has also driven without glasses or lenses, despite having this as a condition on his driver's license.

A report regarding unauthorized driving and speeding is drawn up. The man's driver's license is also seized.

3:38 AM, Umeå

A driver is said to have stopped at a toll booth on E4 south of Umeå, and in connection with this, a road sign is alleged to have been stolen.

Shortly afterwards, the police stop the driver for a check. An interrogation is held and a report regarding theft is drawn up.

5:26 AM, Umeå

Police are ordered to a restaurant on Sandbacka due to suspected ongoing theft of alcohol. When the police arrive at the scene, a person is found, who then runs away. The police run after and the person, a man, is stopped a bit away from the restaurant. He is apprehended.

An interrogation is to be held, after which the prosecutor is to decide whether the man should be detained.

Summary of the police's work during Motorveckan in Lycksele, Wednesday and the night into Thursday:

As on previous evenings, there was a crowd outside a gas station, where some alcohol was confiscated. More young people than on previous evenings were more intoxicated. Contact was made with parents, who were on other locations, for a handful of young people.

Two 18-year-olds were taken into custody with the support of the LOB, the law on the taking into custody of intoxicated persons, and were handed over to relatives or others.

At 2 o'clock, an alarm was received that a person had jumped from the big bridge in central Lycksele. The person is said to have then swum to land, according to several witness statements. Footprints of wet footprints were seen on land, but the person was not found. The assessment was that no one was left in the water.
