During the evening, the police received information about a new break-in in Lekeryd, Jönköping. A family came home and realized that they had been victims of a break-in. A windowpane was removed.

The police cordoned off the area to conduct a crime scene investigation. There have been several break-ins in the region with the same modus operandi. The police cannot rule out that there is a connection.

Crime prevention rarely starts with an arrest. It starts when someone sees, reacts, and cares. A sufficiently suspicious neighbor is not troublesome. They are often the reason why a break-in never happens.

Think of yourself as a thief before you leave the house. Walk around the house once. If you see an entry point, so does the thief. Don't forget to think about the alarm. Ask a neighbor to keep an eye on the house or park on the driveway if you have one. Break-ins rarely involve clever thieves. It's about simple opportunities.
