
Two arrested for attempted fraud in Södertälje.
Police were ordered to a residence in central Södertälje after a report that an elderly woman had been called by a man who claimed to be a police officer. The man said they would send a police officer to pick up jewelry.
The woman kept the perpetrator on the phone and called the police. A short time later, a perpetrator was found in the stairwell. The police arrived at the address and arrested the man. In the subsequent operation, another perpetrator was arrested. They are currently suspected of attempted fraud.
During the evening, more elderly people in Södertälje have been called by suspected scammers who said they would come and pick up jewelry and gold. At present, it is unclear whether the arrested individuals can be linked to these cases.
