Since midnight, two people in Umeå and one in Skellefteå have been taken into custody according to the LOB, the law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons. 

00:01 Drunk driving, Skellefteå
Police stop and check a car. The driver, a young man, is taken for a blood test after suspicion of drunk driving. A report is made.

00:11 Provoking behavior, Umeå
Police stop and check a car in the center. A fine is issued for high and disturbing music.

01:16 Drunk driving, Åsele
Police initiate a pursuit of a car whose driver did not stop at a police officer's signal at a traffic control. There is also suspicion that the driver is driving under the influence. Despite several stop attempts, the driver refuses to stop. Eventually, the police managed to stop the car in Rossön in Strömsund Municipality. The driver is then said to have jumped out of the car and tried to run from the patrol. The man, who is in his 20s, is arrested. In addition to gross drunk driving (alcohol and narcotics) he is also suspected of gross negligence in traffic, minor narcotics offense and seizure of tools when he is said to have taken the vehicle. 

01:29 Traffic accident, Umeå
Police are contacted regarding an accident involving e-bikes. According to available information, two e-bikes are said to have collided on Västra Norrlandsgatan/Östra kyrkogatan in the center. The people are said to have been taken to medical care, the injury situation is unknown. The police will investigate the accident, a report is made regarding gross drunk driving, negligence in traffic and causing bodily harm. 

03:15 Fire, Umeå
Police are ordered to a multi-family house in the west of town due to smoke development in an apartment. There is no information that personal injuries have occurred. The police will investigate the cause of the fire. A report is made regarding general negligence. 

Summary of the police's work in connection with Åsele market, Friday:

Police who worked on site report that there were a lot of people on the move and a lot of work for the patrols during the Friday.

In total, eight people have been taken into custody according to the LOB, the law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons. Four of them were sobered up in the mobile arrest. The other four were minors and were handed over to relatives or social services. The level of intoxication among minors was experienced as high. 

A report has been made regarding assault, which occurred outside Trillen. A person is suspected, but not detained.

A pursuit that started in Åsele and went through Västerbotten, Västernorrland and Jämtland. The pursuit ended in Rossön where the patrol arrested the driver. The driver is suspected of several different crimes (see more detailed notice above).

In addition, several fines have been issued for among other things, provoking behavior through playing high music and several passengers have opened the car door during travel.

Summary of the police's work in connection with Motorveckan in Lycksele, Friday:

Police on site report a very calm start to the motor show in Lycksele. The event officially starts on Saturday, when more movement is expected.

A minor on a moped got stuck in the police's laser control and was reported for unauthorized driving and had his driving license confiscated.

In addition, the patrols have handled a few other matters in the area, such as checking dogs in a car and taking a person into custody for drunk driving in Storuman. They have also checked a suspected break-in attempt just north of Storuman. There were no people left and no signs that any crime had been committed. However, there is suspicion of a possible reconnaissance.
