17:54 Police and rescue services were alerted to Varamonbadet. A child under five years old had for unclear reasons ended up under the water surface. A vigilant citizen noted this and managed to lift the child, and according to reports, began cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The child was taken to hospital by ambulance.

20:06 The child is awake and able to speak. Eating ice cream with good appetite.

Police are now investigating the incident to see if an investigation should be initiated. Witnesses and guardians are being questioned as part of this.
