Alarm was received about a traffic accident on E16 outside Sandviken, in the vicinity of Kungsgården. The police rushed to the scene where a single-vehicle accident had occurred.

A car had for unclear reasons driven off the road and ended up on a field. 

Two men in their 50s were traveling in the car and both were taken to hospital after the accident. One of them died from his injuries. Relatives have been informed about the fatality.

A report on reckless driving is being drawn up in order to be able to investigate what led to the accident. The car is being seized.
