July 16, 07.59, Summary of the night, Norrbotten County

Here follow a selection of the night's events:

01.03 Assault, Luleå:
Police patrol in central Luleå notices some kind of brawl between two people. The patrol talks to the involved parties and sets up a report and a counter-report regarding assault.

03.17 Piteå:
Police are ordered to a campsite due to a brawl/fight with several people involved. The incident is said to have originated from a man touching a woman in an unwanted manner.

The man, suspected of sexual harassment and two cases of assault, is apprehended and will be interrogated during the day. A counter-report regarding assault is set up.

04.49 Traffic accident, Boden:
A report comes in about a traffic accident on county road 383, Edet. A car is said to have overturned. Police patrol is ordered to the scene. No person is left in or near the car, but the patrol comes into contact with the driver who will be checked by ambulance personnel. The police are investigating what happened.

Other:
The police have apprehended a man in Gällivare municipality during the night who is suspected of assaulting a woman he has a relationship with in a dwelling. There are no reports that the woman needed to be taken to hospital care. A report regarding assault is set up. An interrogation with the man will be held.

One person has been taken into custody for intoxication.

The police have also performed a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.
