On Monday morning, the police are contacted regarding a man who is said to have injured his foot during his stay near the Singistugorna, Gällivare.

The police officer on duty makes the decision to initiate rescue services in accordance with the Act on Protection against Accidents. Mountain rescuers are called to the scene and the man is picked up by a private helicopter. Shortly before 12 o'clock, it was announced that the man had been loaded into an ambulance for transport to medical care.
