The regional police headquarters has handled around 40 cases in the county between 22.00-07.00. Among other things:

00.30: Police are alerted to a fast-food restaurant in central Jönköping due to a break-in alarm. There are no signs of anything being taken. A few minutes later, a break-in alarm is received from a nearby pub. On the scene, a 40-year-old man is found who is suspected of breaking into both the fast-food restaurant and the pub. The man is arrested, suspected of theft and attempted break-in.

01.10 police are alerted to Värnamo town due to a man and a woman heard arguing in a dwelling. The man, who is 45 years old, is said to have been beaten with a blunt object and bleeding. He is checked by ambulance and is awake and able to speak. The woman, who is 40 years old, has been arrested suspected of grievous assault. She is also suspected of child abuse as there were children in the dwelling when the suspected crime occurred. She has been detained overnight by the prosecutor and the case is now handled by the prosecution authority.
