01:35 A police patrol checked a vehicle on Forsavägen in Åkers Styckebruk. The driver blew positive and was taken in for a body search. The man turned out to be so intoxicated that he was taken into custody according to the law on the detention of intoxicated persons.

The man, who is in his 40s, is suspected of gross driving under the influence and will be questioned when he has sobered up.

His driving was one of around 15,000 transports made every day in Sweden with someone intoxicated behind the wheel according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
