Violent resistance in Kärda
23:22 A patrol decided to conduct a vehicle and driver check on highway 27 in Värnamo. During the check, suspicion of driving under the influence arose. The driver, a 20-year-old man, estimated that he was stronger than the police officers and opposed the intervention. He was not.
He is now suspected of violent resistance, minor narcotics offense of personal use, and driving under the influence. His driving was one of around 15,000 transports that are made every day in Sweden with someone intoxicated behind the wheel according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
