A man has called the woman and pretended to be a general practitioner at the woman's health center. He deceives her into sending her bank card and code, under the pretense that this is related to the handling of the woman's medicines. The police have been present at the complainant's and drawn up a report regarding fraud, or attempted fraud. The perpetrator is not believed to have obtained any money.

The police are aware of further incidents in recent times with the same modus operandi and in the same geographical area. In these cases, it has stopped at attempted crimes.

If someone contacts you and requests money, valuable items or your bank details: Hang up the phone.

This applies regardless of whether the person says they are a relative, someone from your bank, from a company or an authority - and even if the person calling seems credible and has personal information about you.
