Yesterday, the police were contacted about two incidents in Nyköping. It is about crimes against two children that occurred in the Brandkärr- and Isaksdals areas.

The police have worked on the hypothesis that the two incidents are connected to each other. Investigative measures in the form of track verification, information collection, and questioning of witnesses have been carried out.

On Thursday afternoon, the police apprehended a person suspected of both crimes.

– We feel secure that we have the right person and we are not looking for any other perpetrators. Residents in these areas do not need to feel any concern. This is a sensitive investigation involving young people and since the investigation is in an early stage, we cannot say more at this time, says Daniel Eriksson, group chief of serious crimes in Nyköping.
