The regional police headquarters has handled around 150 cases between 22.00-07.00 that concern Östergötland County.

00:34 SOS alarm about a traffic accident on county road 1081 outside Nykyrka, Motala. According to the alarm, a car is said to have overturned, ended up in a ditch and landed on the roof. Five people are said to have been in the car. A police patrol has been on the scene and there is no suspicion of a crime. An ambulance has checked all five affected and none have needed to be taken to hospital.  

02:55 Police were alerted to a bar on Ågatan in Linköping due to an assault. A man in his 30s is said to have received a glass to the head and started bleeding. When police arrived at the scene, a man in his 35s was arrested suspected of assault. The complainant has been bandaged on the hospital. Due to high intoxication levels, a decision on possible detention of the suspected man has been delayed. 

03:51 In connection with a routine vehicle and driver check on highway 51 outside Finspång, suspicion of drunk driving arose against the driver. The woman in her 40s was taken with the police for blood sampling and interrogation. Her driver's license was confiscated, as well as the keys to the car. The passenger, a man in his 40s, was also heavily intoxicated and was taken according to LOB. There were also three children in the car. Due to this, immediate contact was made with social services. 

In addition to this, the police have had cases of drunkenness, traffic offenses, crime prevention work, wildlife accidents and various checks on their own initiative or after an alarm from the public that have not led to anything serious.

No more serious violent crimes have come to the police's knowledge.
