A car has collided at Albano in northern Stockholm city.
Police and ambulance are ordered to the accident site.
No person has been injured in connection with the accident, however the driver blows positively in the police's breathalyzer. The driver, a 30-year-old man, is arrested suspected of drunk driving.
Procedure for Breath Test at Sobriety Check
The first step in a traffic sobriety check is that the driver is asked to blow into a handheld breathalyzer that shows if the alcohol level in the exhaled air is above the punishable limit. The result is only shown as positive or negative. Breath tests can be performed without suspicion of a crime.
If the breath test shows a positive result, the next step is that the suspect is offered to take a breath test in a proof instrument, also called a proof test.
