During week 2, the local police district Östra Norrbotten together with the Enforcement Agency has carried out a targeted operation against criminal economy.

The operation was carried out due to the fact that it is a nationally prioritized area, where legislation has not had the intended impact. And where there have not been enough guiding judgments, acquitting as well as convicting.

During the operation, special skills have been used in the form of drones, narcotics dog handlers, surveillance resources and intervention personnel. Officials from the Enforcement Agency have also assisted with valuation of seized goods.

During the operation, surveillance, house searches and seizures have been carried out together with some other investigative measures.

Within the framework of the operation, movable property, which is initially valued at 240,000-250,000 kronor, has been seized. The value can be revalued upwards or downwards.
