Police regional command center has handled between 22.00-07.00 a number of 50 cases related to Jönköping County.

21:56 Police and ambulance were alerted to a residence in Eksjö due to a man in his 60s being injured with a sharp object. The man was both awake and able to speak but was taken to hospital by ambulance for further care. At 02:00 the man was able to leave the hospital. A woman in her 80s was also in the residence and was arrested by police suspected of attempted murder. The scene has been cordoned off for a forensic examination. The victim and suspect are known to each other. During the night the woman was detained by the prosecutor, on probable grounds, suspected of attempted murder. The case is thus prosecutor-led and further questions about the investigation are referred to the Prosecution Authority in Jönköping.

23:03 SOS alarm about traffic accident on E4: outside Ödeshög. According to the alarm, a truck with trailer is said to have tipped over and blocked one lane. This is said to have occurred in a northerly direction. A traffic jam is said to have formed in connection with this and the road surface is said to be slippery. Police have been on the scene. Traffic was diverted via county road 133. A report of a traffic accident without suspicion of a crime will be written.

Aside from this, the police have had cases of traffic offenses, wildlife accidents, minor traffic accidents as well as various checks on their own initiative or after alarms from the public that have not led to anything serious.
