17:59 An alarm comes in about a single-car accident at the Svista traffic intersection on E20. Rescue services are on the scene and police are on their way.

A sharp warning to drivers on E20 to and from Eskilstuna to exercise caution at the accident site as rescue work is ongoing and personnel are working in a hazardous environment.

18:10 The road is completely closed in the westbound direction towards Eskilstuna.

18:21 One person has suffered serious injuries. It is currently unclear how the accident occurred. Police are assisting on the scene, among other things, by directing traffic.

18:56 Work is still being done at the scene and a wrecker has been ordered. At present, no prognosis on when it can be cleared at the scene.
