The police regional command center has handled between 22.00-07.00 a number of cases related to Jönköping County, approximately 70.
At 23:00, the police were alerted to a fight in an apartment in central Nässjö. On the scene, a man in his 40s is found with stab or cut wounds, caused by a sharp object. The man has been taken to hospital but is not considered to be life-threateningly injured. The apartment also contains a man in his 30s who is arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The man was later detained by the prosecution authority. The apartment is cordoned off for technical investigation.
At 23:21, the police are alerted to Hovslätt in Jönköping due to a car driving around and honking the horn. According to the caller, this has occurred several evenings in a row. The police have circulated in the area but have not found anyone or anything unusual.
At 00:42, a patrol is driving on county road 151 in Gnosjö and stops at a wild animal accident. A passenger car has collided with an elk. The driver is not injured, but the elk is dead and lying on the road, blocking traffic. The passenger car needs to be towed from the scene. The patrol moves the elk to the side of the road and contacts the landowner. The driver, a man in his 40s, blows positive in the police's measuring instrument and is allowed to follow the police for further investigation. The man is then suspected of drunk driving.
