Good morning. During New Year's Eve, the police's regional command center east handled a hundred and fifty cases related to Södermanland County. There was a large influx of calls. It has been about alarms regarding fireworks and the handling of intoxicated individuals. There have also been a number of calls about smaller outdoor fires and alarms about people shooting rockets at each other and buildings. No one has been seriously injured in connection with this and upon review of the events, no one could be found. Police patrols have worked proactively throughout the night to talk to people and with visibility.  

22:36, Assault, Flen
A person is believed to have been assaulted in connection with the shooting of fireworks. An unknown person is believed to have approached and hit the affected person in the face. No suspect has been identified and no one was seriously injured. 

23:28, Causing bodily harm, Eskilstuna 
A 25-year-old man who was located on Öster is believed to have had rockets shot near him. The man is believed to have had ear pain after the incident due to the high noise level. In connection with the location, police patrols checked two young people who had firecrackers with them. The firecrackers have been seized and the young people were handed over to their guardians. 

00:31, Creating danger for another, Eskilstuna 
Police were called to a store in Eskilstuna's city center due to a so-called alarm of assault. At the scene, someone was reported to have been rowdy and also lit fireworks indoors. A 20-year-old man is suspected of creating danger for another. 

02:02, Fire, Nyköping 
A villa with several apartments burned down during the night in the Alla Helgona area. Everyone who was in the building was able to get out without injury. A report of a fire without suspicion of a crime was filed.
