January 1, 08.00, Summary of the night, Jönköping County

Good morning. During New Year's Eve, the regional police headquarters east handled a 160 cases related to Jönköping County. This has included reports of fireworks and the apprehension of intoxicated individuals. There have also been a number of calls about smaller outdoor fires and reports of people shooting rockets at each other and buildings. No one has been seriously injured in connection with this and upon review of the events, no one has been found. Police patrols have worked proactively to talk to people and with visibility.  

22:31, Gross negligence, Vetlanda 
A report of gross negligence is being made after a firework exploded and caused a small fire in a villa. 

01:53, Assault, Vetlanda 
A person was injured in connection with an incident in a residence in Vetlanda. The person, a man under 20 years old, is said to have been subjected to an assault with some type of sharp object. The incident is currently classified as aggravated assault and the circumstances surrounding what happened are not entirely clear.
