The driver has taken himself out of the car and is awake and able to speak, but the extent of the injuries is unclear. According to initial reports, the driver was alone in the car.

Emergency services, ambulance, and police have been dispatched to the scene.

UPDATE 11:18 AM Rescue services are on the scene and will close the road completely for traffic during the initial rescue work.

UPDATE 11:40 AM Traffic can now pass the accident site alternately. The driver, a woman, escaped unharmed but is being examined by ambulance personnel.
