Police regional command center has handled around 70 cases related to Södermanland County between 22:00 and 07:00.

02:25 Police checked a truck with trailer parked at E20 outside Åkers Styckebruk, Strängnäs. According to a caller, sparks flew when a wheel hit something and there was a smell of burnt rubber. Police on the scene noted two flat tires and the driver of the truck, a man in his 55th year, was suspected of drunk driving and was taken in for further testing and questioning.

06:51 Wild animal accident on county road 593 outside Vingåker. A driver reportedly hit a doe. The driver reportedly escaped without personal injuries. The car got a broken headlight. Searchers were sent out to check the status of the animal.

In addition to this, the police have had cases of intoxication, traffic offenses, traffic controls, and various other controls on their own initiative or after receiving a call from the public that did not lead to anything serious.

No serious violent crimes have come to the police's attention.
