Here comes a selection of events from the police district last night.
Police regional command center has handled around 70 cases related to Jönköping County between 22:00 and 07:00.
22:39 A moose collision on Highway 26 outside Öreryd, Gislaved. An ambulance arrived and checked on the driver, a 55-year-old man, who had glass shards on him. The windshield of the car had been smashed and the front of the car also had damage. The moose died at the scene and a contact person conducted a site visit.
05:30 A distress call about a traffic accident on County Road 993 outside Gränna, Jönköping. According to the alarm, a driver had lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a ditch. The police have been on the scene. A tow truck has been ordered and there is no suspicion of crime or reports of personal injuries. The road surface was slippery at the accident site.
In addition to this, the police have handled cases of traffic offenses, public intoxication, traffic checks, mental health issues, and various other checks on their own initiative or after receiving calls from the public that did not lead to anything serious.
No more serious violent crimes have come to the police's knowledge.
