Loud noise came in about gunfire in Andersberg in Gävle. The police rushed to the scene and a man was found dead.

A number of initial investigation measures were taken, including cordoning off an area and searching the crime scene for traces. A number of witnesses were heard and several people were checked. A number of resources were alerted, including a helicopter and a dog.

A preliminary investigation was launched regarding murder and several people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder.

Anyone who has seen something in connection with the incident is urged to contact the police on 11414, or 112 if the situation is urgent.

Next of kin have been informed of the death.
