Last week a national traffic week was conducted with a focus on vocational traffic.
I Värmland, a total of 298 vehicles in normal traffic were controlled, of which 32 showed defects of varying kinds. Three cases of technical defects, five cases of overloading, thirteen violations of ADR regulations (hazardous goods) and twelve cases of inadequate securing. In five cases, the police had to prevent further travel. During the inspection of the drivers, four were found to be under the influence of narcotics, four under the influence of alcohol, fifty drivers were measured for excessive speed, and three drivers failed to use seatbelts. Nineteen cases of violations regarding driving and rest times were also found. Twenty-six of the controlled vehicles were taxis.
