Police sirens sounded at the eastern harbor in Västerås due to a traffic accident. A cyclist was struck by a car.

The cyclist was taken away by an ambulance for further medical care, unclear extent of injuries. The person was then awake and able to speak.

The accident site is the roundabout at Kungsängsgatan/Sigurdsgatan.

Police will investigate how the accident occurred, but no one has been given suspicion of a crime at this time.
