A woman is rear-ended by a car in a residential area in Sandared. In connection with this, the woman falls and hits herself. However, there was no need for an ambulance. The woman is taken to the hospital by a relative for a check-up. The incident is being investigated as careless driving.
22:26, Attempted break-in – Svenljunga
A man tries to get into a nursing home by climbing up a fire escape. He is discovered by a guard who apprehends the man until the police arrive. A report is filed for attempted break-in.
Violence in a close relationship – Gothenburg
During the night to Thursday, police are called to an apartment on Hisingen after the public heard a loud argument between a man and a woman. Police have been on the scene and it ended with a man in his 60s being arrested, suspected of assaulting a woman. The two parties have a close relationship. No information on whether the victim needed medical attention as a result of the incident.
21:43, fraud – Gothenburg
An elderly woman living in Kortedala calls the police and reports that she has been a victim of a scam. A man has called her and claimed to work for a credit company. He draws a scenario where the woman has entered into an agreement and that things now need to be settled. As he manages to scare the woman, he convinces her to send account information, as well as a photo of her gold, to the scammer. Police have been on the scene and heard the woman, and a report has been filed for fraud. Fortunately, the woman did not lose any significant amounts. No information on whether the perpetrators tried to visit the woman to collect the gold.
21:22, Attempted fraud – Gothenburg
A relative of an elderly man living in Gårdsten calls in and reports that the elderly man was likely targeted by a scam attempt during the day. Two young men are said to have knocked on the door. The man became suspicious and did not open the door. Through the door, he heard the men say they were there to help him shop, clean, and go to the pharmacy. Since the elderly man does not have home care, he replied that he would call the police. The men are said to have quickly left the scene. Police have filed a report for attempted fraud.
