Under the morning, police were alerted to a residence in Tranås municipality in connection with a brawl between a man and a woman who have a relationship with each other. In an early stage, information arrived that the woman had started bleeding from the head and was in need of an ambulance.

When the police finally arrived, the situation was calm, but soon the police were informed that the man in some way had hit the woman. He was arrested on suspicion of assault. The woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

The residence has been cordoned off pending a technical investigation. The suspect has been detained by the prosecutor.
