Police were contacted regarding an assault in the city center. A man is said to have been assaulted by another person, according to available information. Police have been on the scene and spoken with those involved. A report of assault has been made. There was no acute need for medical care.

Other: Two wildlife accidents without personal injury have been reported to the police. They occurred at Hellnerstadion in Gällivare and on national road 97 Norra Bredåker, Boden.

03:07 Serious assault, Luleå
Police were contacted regarding a man who is said to have stolen a bicycle and subjected another man to a serious assault on Malmudden in Luleå. Police are on their way there. The injured party is taken to medical care by ambulance. The extent of the injury is unknown.

The suspected man is no longer on the scene. He is arrested in his absence and detained for a few hours later. The man, in his mid-30s, is now detained suspected of serious assault and theft.

The parties involved are said to be slightly acquainted with each other.
