Under Thursday, the police receive a large number of calls from various addresses in Västerås and Köping where homeowners have reported break-ins and the perpetrators have broken open the door and rummaged through the home.

It is currently unclear what the individuals took with them in connection with the break-ins.

The affected areas are southern Skallberget in Västerås and Östanås in Köping. So far, a total of four confirmed break-ins have occurred during the day.

All homes are cordoned off pending technical investigation.

The police have been searching for the perpetrators throughout the day and evening, but no one has been arrested yet.

It is currently unclear whether the break-ins are connected to each other.
