Police regional command center has handled over 90 cases related to Södermanland County during the night between 22:00 and 07:00.

Violent resistance, Eskilstuna
At 02:00, the police were alerted to central Eskilstuna. A security officer reports that a man is suspected of having committed vandalism on a car, whereupon the security officer apprehended the man with handcuffs. When the patrol arrives at the scene to apprehend the man, the man puts up strong resistance. The man, aged 40-50, is apprehended in accordance with the Law on the Detention of Persons (LOB) and is suspected of violent resistance, as well as drug possession. The man is also suspected of burglary, having smashed a car window and stolen valuables from the car.

Violence against a public official, Eskilstuna
At 01:50, the police were alerted to a location in Eskilstuna city center, where two men are suspected of having beaten a security officer. In connection with the scene, two men, aged 20 and 30, are apprehended in accordance with LOB. The men are also suspected of violence against a public official.

Drug offense, Nyköping
At 01:30, the police were alerted to a multi-family house in Nyköping's urban area, due to unauthorized persons being present in the basement. At the relevant address, no person was found, but two people, a man aged 40 and a woman aged 50, were checked in the vicinity of the scene. The two people are now suspected of drug possession.

The police have also handled wild animal accidents and alarm calls regarding mental health, as well as conducted routine checks on their own initiative or in response to calls from the public.
